Several other agencies and systems track pest species occurrence in Hawaii; therefore, the information presented here is not comprehensive for any given time period or species.

Most, but not all, of the submitted reports for any given time period or species include either: a) pest sighting locations (Latitude / Longitude) submitted by the pest reporter that were derived from a mapping tool on the public submittal form; or b) other information in the report, such as an address or named location in Hawaii, that could be used by the report “Facilitator” to geo-locate the pest report sighting during processing. The accuracy of pest report sighting location data submitted by the public cannot be guaranteed.

3. Any chart, graph, or map presented on this dashboard represents a generalized snapshot of reporting-based pest detection over time and does not reflect true occurrence (current or historical), distribution or spread.
